Instructions:

  • 1Stand straight with feet hip-width apart
  • 2Rotate your upper body to the right, pushing against an imaginary resistance as if you're chopping wood with an axe
  • 3Rotate your body in the opposite direction
  • 4Engage your core and hold the position for a moment
  • 5Repeat the move to the left

Tips:

  • Keep your movements slow and controlled
  • Always perform the exercise using both sides to prevent muscle imbalance
  • Engage the core not just in the main movement, but during the entire exercise
  • Visualizing the movement helps to engage the intended muscles
