Instructions:

  • 1Lie on your back on the floor and bend your knees, keeping your feet flat on the ground
  • 2Place your hands behind your head, without locking your fingers together
  • 3Lift your upper body using your oblique muscles, and twist to bring your right elbow to your left knee
  • 4Slowly lower your body back down
  • 5Repeat the movement on the other side, bringing your left elbow to your right knee

Tips:

  • Keep your lower back pressed to the floor during the entire movement
  • Don't pull on your neck, let your abs and obliques do the work
  • Exhale as you crunch up and inhale as you lower your body
  • Remain controlled throughout the exercise to engage your obliques more effectively
