
Instructions:
- 1Stand up straight while holding a medicine ball close to your chest
- 2Lower yourself into a squat by bending at the hips and knees until your thighs are parallel to the floor
- 3Pause at the bottom of the squat, then push yourself back up to a standing position
- 4Keep your back straight and your heels flat on the ground during the entire movement
- 5Repeat the exercise for the desired number of repetitions
Tips:
- Avoid over-arching or rounding your back during the movements
- Make sure your knees do not pass your toes as you squat down
- Keep the movement controlled, lowering and extending smoothly throughout
- Breathe in as you lower yourself and breathe out as you stand up
