Instructions:

  • 1Stand upright while holding a bottle in each hand at arm's length, palms facing your torso. This will be your starting position.
  • 2Keeping your upper arms stable, bend at the elbow and extend both hands behind you while contracting the triceps.
  • 3Pause briefly at the full extension before lowering the weights back to the starting position in a controlled manner.
  • 4Repeat the movement for the desired number of repetitions.
  • 5Do not use your back or shoulders to lift the weights; your forearms should do all the work.

Tips:

  • Keep your upper arms close to your body and elbows tucked in.
  • Avoid arching your back. Maintain a neutral spine throughout the exercise.
  • You can perform this exercise with light weights initially to learn proper form and avoid injury.
