Instructions:

  • 1Sit on the floor with your knees bent, pull your abs to your spine, and lean back a few inches while keeping your back straight.
  • 2Hold your hands at your chest, and twist your torso to the right, then to the left to complete one rep.
  • 3The movement should come from your ribs rotating, not from your arms swinging.
  • 4Inhale through center and exhale on the twist.
  • 5Repeat for the prescribed number of sets and reps.

Tips:

  • Engage your core throughout the movement to help maintain balance.
  • Avoid rounding your back and keep it straight and strong.
  • Rotate from the abdomen, not from the hips.
  • For more challenge, lift your feet off the ground.
