Instructions:

  • 1Adjust the Smith machine bar at knee height
  • 2Stand sideways and step one foot onto the bar
  • 3Push through your heel to lift your body up
  • 4Lower your body down by bending your knee and hip
  • 5Switch sides and repeat with the other leg

Tips:

  • Keep your back straight throughout the exercise
  • Drive through your heels when pushing up
  • Try to use your stepping leg mostly, not the one on the floor
  • Control your descent not to let gravity do the work
