Instructions:

  • 1Begin with a fighting stance, feet hip-width apart
  • 2Punch forward with one arm while stepping back with the opposite foot
  • 3Return to your starting position
  • 4Perform this move with the other arm and foot
  • 5Maintain a high tempo for this exercise

Tips:

  • Keep your core engaged throughout the move
  • Throw your punches with power but control, avoid flailing
  • During each stepback, land softly on the balls of your feet
  • Be sure your movement is smooth and you're not bouncing
