
Instructions:
- 1Start standing straight with your feet hip-width apart and arms extended at your sides
- 2Take a step to the right and simultaneously bring your arms out to your sides and up to shoulder level, like a bird spreading its wings
- 3Bring your arms together in front of your chest as you bring your left foot to meet your right
- 4Step to the left and open your arms again, then close them as you bring your right foot to meet your left
- 5Continue alternating the movement on each side for a desired number of repetitions
Tips:
- Move with control and at a steady pace ensuring you work the targeted muscles
- Drive the movement from your chest and shoulders, not just your arms
- Inhale while you are stepping and opening your arms and exhale when you are closing them
- Keep your core engaged for stability during the entire exercise
