Instructions:

  • 1Stand upright and place your feet shoulder-width apart
  • 2Slightly bend your knees
  • 3Lean your torso to one side, feeling a stretch in your obliques
  • 4Slowly return to the upright position
  • 5Repeat the process on the other side

Tips:

  • Keep your body alignment straight during the exercise
  • Avoid bending forward or backward
  • Exhale as you lean to the side, and inhale as you return to the start position
  • To help maintain balance, you can lift the opposite arm to the side you’re leaning
