Instructions:

  • 1Lie on your back on a comfortable, flat surface
  • 2Lift one leg straight up while keeping the other flat on the ground
  • 3Grab the upraised leg above your ankle and gently pull it towards you
  • 4Hold for 15–30 seconds then switch legs
  • 5Repeat the process for 5 - 10 minutes

Tips:

  • Breath deeply and relaxed during the stretching
  • Do not strain your neck during the exercise
  • Ensure your straight leg is as close to perpendicular to your body as possible
  • Don't pull too hard, the aim is gentle stretching, not pain
