Instructions:

  • 1Lie flat on your back on a mat and hold a dumbbell in both hands directly above you
  • 2Simultaneously lift your upper and lower body off the ground, reaching the dumbbell towards your feet to form a 'V' shape
  • 3Hold this position briefly then slowly lower your body back to the starting position
  • 4Keep your legs and arms straight throughout the exercise
  • 5Repeat the exercise for the desired number of reps

Tips:

  • Avoid straining your neck during the exercise
  • Ensure that the movement is controlled and not relying on momentum
  • Focus on squeezing your abs at the top of the movement
  • Keep your back straight as you move into the 'V' shape
