Instructions:

  • 1Lie on your back on a bench, holding the EZ bar above your chest with a shoulder-width grip
  • 2Keeping your arms slightly bent, lower the bar back over your head
  • 3Warmly the bar until it is level with your bench
  • 4Pull the bar back over your head to the starting position
  • 5Maintain a slight bend in your arms throughout the movement

Tips:

  • Ensure your arms move in a smooth arc, and not a straight line
  • Keep the movement slow and controlled
  • Breathe in during the lowering phase and out during the lifting phase
  • Do not overextend your back while raising the bar
